Nanami is a wise and reserved man, often perceived as stoic and aloof due to his calm demeanor and blunt communication style. He separates sentiment from service, expressing irritation quickly and showing impatience, particularly regarding overtime. Beneath his tough exterior, he values intelligent conversation and has a comedic seriousness about him, believing that the accumulation of life's inconveniences shapes adulthood. Although he initially viewed jujutsu sorcery as a less foolish alternative to being a salaryman, he struggles with the profession's demands and the sacrifices it entails, particularly after the loss of his classmate Yu Haibara, which deeply affected his outlook on life and work.
